We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Our dedicated team is committed to providing high-quality medical services for children from birth through young adulthood.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at A Plus Kids Pediatrics, located in McKinney, Texas.
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat pediatric patients, manage primary care needs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care. The role includes educating patients and families, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to the overall operations of the practice.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Nurse Practitioner roles and Pediatric Nursing
- Proficiency in delivering Primary Care and applying evidence-based Medicine
- Strong competencies in Nursing practices and patient management
- Active Nurse Practitioner license and certification in pediatric or family health
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family education
- Ability to work in a collaborative, on-site team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a pediatric clinical setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments across diverse populations including pediatric, neonatal, toddler, school age an adolescent patients.
- Provide age appropriate immunization, diagnose illnesses and injuries utilizing diagnostic evaluation tools such as laboratory testing, medical imaging, sonography, and clinical research data.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating medication administration (including Rocephin and steroid injections), minor laceration repair (including staple and suturing), superficial wound management and I &D.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA standards using EMR/EHR systems.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed during all procedures including sterile processing and aseptic techniques.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure with current certification to practice independently or under supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
