Position Overview
Alex Physical Medicine is seeking a dedicated and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our expanding wound care services in Canton and Youngstown, Ohio. This role is well suited for an NP interested in advancing into wound care. While prior wound care experience is not required, it is considered a strong plus. Comprehensive training and wound care certification are provided.
Compensation
- Salary Range (Full-Time): $120,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience)
- Competitive PRN rates available for the Canton location
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and management of patients with acute and chronic wounds
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Conduct wound assessments, debridement, and follow-up care per clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention and ongoing care
- Adhere to evidence-based practices and Alex Physical Medicine clinical guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain)
- National NP certification (FNP, AGNP, or related specialty)
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach
- Willingness to complete wound care training and certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to wound care, home health, or skilled nursing settings
- After enrollment, contracts with third party payers are (highly preferred )
- Experience working with Medicare documentation and compliance standards
Training & Support
- Structured onboarding and hands-on wound care training
- Wound care certification provided
- Ongoing clinical support and mentorship
