Cyfair Psychiatry is a leading outpatient mental health practice serving the Greater Houston area, with multiple clinic locations including Jones Road, Highway 6, and Magnolia. Our team of psychiatrists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing behavioral health team. The PA will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care under the supervision of a board-certified psychiatrist. The ideal candidate is empathetic, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality mental health care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits for patients across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and/or geriatric populations depending on experience).
• Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with supervising psychiatrists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor patient progress, assess medication efficacy and side effects, and adjust treatment as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide patient education and promote adherence to treatment plans.
• Participate in case consultations, staff meetings, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and Texas Medical Board guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and unrestricted Texas PA license.
• Current DEA registration (or eligibility).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or primary care preferred, new graduates with strong interest in behavioral health are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• EMR proficiency and comfort with telepsychiatry platforms are a plus.

Pay: $120,317.48 – $150,000.47 per year
