Job Summary:

Rancho Health MSO is an award-winning practice that specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Geriatric Care. As a fast growing and well-respected private practice in Ventura County, the role of our healthcare Providers in our practice are to examine and treat patients, regardless of age or sex. Ensure proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribe and administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Request necessary tests and follow-up visits and refer patients to specialists, as necessary.

Description
  • Full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Primary Care.
  • Full-time is40 hoursper work week.

  • In-office telemedicine appointments available.
Required education and experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
  • Active and unrestricted California PA/NP medical license.
Minimum Experience Required:
  • License/Certification: Active and unrestricted California Medical license. (Required)
  • Active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances. (Required)
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Bilingual Spanish or other languagepreferred butnot required.
  • EMR: Athena
  • Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
  • Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms and epidemiology.
  • Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
  • In-depth knowledge of legaland bestmedical guidelines and medicine best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Respect for patient’s confidentiality.

Expected Hours of Work
  • Full-timeAdvance Practice Provider (APP)in family practice (32-40 hoursper work week).
  • Providers see approximately three patients per hour(20 patients per8-hour shift).
  • 4, 4.5or 5-day work week options.
  • Schedule: 8-hour shift.
  • Call scheduleup to 4 weeks per year with Saturday morning coverage required.
Work location:
  • Multiple Locations.
Travel – Travel for meetings is expected about 3-5% of the time.
