UES accomplishes this vision by designing and manufacturing electric and hybrid electric systems for transportation fleets. Our team has over 20 years in the industry and is poised for rapid growth. Our customers include major US and international fleets, federal & state agencies and private technology companies.Summary:
As our business scales from increased demand, we are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate the commercialization and scale-up of our supply chains, production and delivery of our vehicle conversions and kit manufacturing. Additionally, we are receiving government contracts for delivery of custom systems that require program management. Finally, we are engaged in new product development requiring cross-functional leadership through all phases of design and qualification.
Our product lines include a combination of custom-designed and off-the-shelf component creating complex hybrid-electric systems that integrate on a wide range of buses, trucks and other surface vehicles. The position independently accomplishes challenging scenarios and projects with technical and operational leadership and minimal supervision. The Project Manager will report directly to the CEO with significant opportunity for advancement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing internal and external resources to establish and achieve program objectives on-time in-full
- Working to ensure production deliveries are completed on-time while meeting quality standards
- Actively program manage contracts from federal and state agencies, coordinating with internal R&D teams, reviewing contracts, writing reports and presenting PowerPoint slides
- Tracking and maintaining program budgets and production cost estimates
- Active leadership of change, working collaboratively to improve people, process & systems to meet the business objectives
- Coaching and guiding team members to follow Agile/Scrum and Lean/Six Sigma best practices
- Assisting the team in removing impediments and escalating appropriately to the correct personnel if necessary
- Defining and executing the sequencing of work and project backlog
- Proactively gather customer feedback and incorporate into the programs
- Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks and provide strategic solutions
- Oversee and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics, plus other status
- Collaborate with other back-office team members to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values
- Work closely with the management team to ensure all operational and compliance requirements are being properly executed in accordance to regulatory-based best practices
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Associates’s degree or higher from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment for electromechanical hardgoods
- Demonstrated excellence with general computer applications such as MS Office, Project, etc.
- Willingness to travel 25% or more domestically
- THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION
- Must have experience dealing with HR issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the Aviation, Automotive, Truck or Bus Industries
- Certified Lean Six Sigma green or black belt with recent and meaningful projects
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Product Owner (CPO) credentials
- Proven problem-solving skills using techniques such as 8D, PDCA, DMAIC and/or A3
- Familiarity with governmental contract support, execution & reporting
- Proven leadership capabilities in negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and continuous improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and engage with people quickly
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to make decisions, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience with the APQP processes and associated procedures, documents and artifacts
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities
- Ability to conduct research for special projects, respond timely inquiries, and present written/ oral briefings
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
