OverviewJoin our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Manager, where you will lead and oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy to ensure exceptional patient care and compliance with all regulatory standards. Duties

  • Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to safety protocols
  • Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and IV infusions with precision using advanced pharmacy software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
  • Manage inventory control, including medication procurement, stock rotation, and aseptic technique for sterile preparations
  • Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy plans, including specialized care for pediatrics, critical care, LTC (Long-Term Care), and hospital settings
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, pain management strategies, and immunization programs such as vaccinations and immunizations
  • Implement policies for medication administration, IV insertion, infusion therapy, and aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards
  • Facilitate ongoing staff training on topics like physiology knowledge, medical terminology, anatomy, and EMR/EHR systems proficiency
  • Monitor pharmacy operations to optimize workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards of patient service and safety

Skills

  • Extensive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on acute care, hospital environments, or LTC pharmacy settings
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing pharmacy teams in fast-paced healthcare environments
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles relevant to diverse patient populations including pediatrics
  • Expertise in compounding medications and aseptic techniques for sterile preparations such as IV infusions
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), EHR (Electronic Health Records), and inventory management tools
  • Experience with immunizations administration and medication management protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Ability to perform patient assessments effectively to support personalized medication therapy plans
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring the confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Skilled in IV insertion procedures and infusion therapy management within hospital or clinical settings
  • Strong organizational skills for inventory control and medication distribution processes
  • Experience working with pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65.00 – $85.00 per hour
