Full Job Description

About Us

We are a patient-centered interventional pain management practice dedicated to improving function and quality of life for individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. Our team includes board-certified interventional pain physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our interventional pain management clinic. The PA will work closely with supervising physicians to perform comprehensive new-patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and ongoing pain management consultations. The provider will participate in care planning, initiate appropriate diagnostic testing, and order interventional pain procedures under physician supervision.

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys autonomy within a collaborative clinical environment and has an interest in chronic pain, musculoskeletal medicine, spine care, and functional rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough new patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and documentation.
  • Perform follow-up visits, ongoing pain evaluations, and medication reviews.
  • Develop and document treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Order interventional pain procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral joint injections, trigger point injections) under physician supervision.
  • Evaluate diagnostic and imaging findings to guide treatment decisions.
  • Participate in patient education regarding pain conditions, lifestyle management, medications, rehabilitation options, and procedural expectations.
  • Review and update electronic medical records using established clinical documentation standards.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists, physical therapy, behavioral health, diagnostic imaging, or additional interventional services as needed.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, messages, and follow-up needs in a timely, professional manner.
  • Support physicians and clinical team in multidisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current state PA license and NCCPA certification (or eligibility).
  • Prior experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, PM&R, rheumatology, primary care, or related specialties preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient specialty setting with attention to accuracy and clinical detail.
  • Experienced with EMR systems and standard clinical documentation practices.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time weekday schedule (no nights or holidays; no weekends).
  • Competitive salary, productivity opportunity, and benefits package commensurate with experience.

Why Join Our Team

  • Work alongside experienced, fellowship-trained interventional pain physicians.
  • Enjoy clinical autonomy while practicing within a supportive, team-based model.
  • Opportunity for professional growth in a rapidly expanding specialty.
  • Meaningful work that improves patients’ function, comfort, and overall quality of life.
