Full Job Description
At Benton Integrative Medicine, we’re transforming healthcare one heart-centered visit at a time. We blend the best of conventional medicine with functional, integrative, and sometimes downright magical approaches (the kind that make science feel soulful).
Our mission: help patients achieve wellness of mind, body, and spirit—not just “normal” lab results.
Here, you are not a number—and neither are your patients. Every story matters, every pattern tells a truth, and every visit is an opportunity to listen deeply and heal wholly.
We’re family-oriented, flexible, and fun—but we also hold high expectations. If you’re motivated, compassionate, and ready to practice medicine like it should be practiced, you’ll fit right in.
Position Summary
We’re looking for an NP or PA who’s ready to bust out of the hamster wheel, kick open the cage door, and practice medicine like a liberated healer—not a chart-topping robot on a timer.
You’ll see 6–8 patients a day, with 30–60 minute visits that give you time to connect, think, and be human. You’ll work closely with our team of seasoned clinicians and support staff, and be mentored by Dr. Benton—our Medical Director who leads with vision, intuition, and a fierce love for patient empowerment.
If you’re looking for a place where your clinical skill and soul wisdom both matter—you’ve found it.
Core Requirements & Professional Approach
We’re seeking someone who:
- Practices integrative medicine with curiosity, humility, and heart (and maybe the occasional sense of humor).
- Looks beyond physical symptoms to explore the mind-body-spirit connection.
- Uses intuition—not just a sprinkle—to guide understanding, alongside medical training and evidence.
- Is open to learning unconventional but effective healing methodologies that make patients feel truly seen.
- Believes patients are partners, not problems to fix.
- Balances natural and conventional care with wisdom and discernment.
- Enjoys collaboration, continued learning, and empowering others to take ownership of their healing journey.
Methodology Expectations
At BIM, we follow a three-step rhythm that sounds simple—but transforms lives:
1. Deep Listening – The kind that makes patients say, “No one’s ever listened to me like that before.”
2. Holistic Reflection – Considering the patient’s story, stress, spirit, environment, and patterns.
3. Personalized Recommendations – Blending science, soul, and insight for truly customized care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full-spectrum direct primary care for adult and pediatric patients under collaborative supervision.
- Blend evidence-based medicine with integrative and functional principles.
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and functional tests that reveal the “why,” not just the “what.”
- Prescribe medications and/or natural therapies when appropriate—no dogma, just discernment.
- Stay current with integrative, functional, frequency-based, and AI-assisted approaches.
- Collaborate with our care team in a supportive, no-ego environment.
- Support patients with BHRT, peptides, and other integrative treatments (training available).
- Champion medical freedom and informed consent in every patient interaction.
Training & Growth Opportunities
- Mentorship directly with Dr. Benton and the integrative care team.
- Training in homeopathy, essential oils, nutrition, and other integrative modalities.
- Dedicated funding for continuing education in integrative and functional medicine.
- Support in learning emerging therapies such as peptides, BHRT, and frequency-based medicine.
- Professional and personal growth through an environment that values both intuition and intellect.
Qualifications
- Licensed NP or PA with experience or strong interest in integrative or functional medicine (required).
- Board Certified and in good standing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for holistic, patient-centered care that honors body, mind, and spirit.
- Comfort with longer, relationship-based visits and a slower pace of medicine that prioritizes connection over quotas.
Work Structure & Lifestyle
- 4 in-office days + 1 administrative-from-home day each week.
- 1 additional week per year of virtual clinic freedom—work from anywhere that inspires you.
- Paid holidays and 3 weeks of vacation.
- Light weekend on-call (our patients respect boundaries).
- Minimal admin—chart as you go, then go live your life.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Medical, dental, vision, FSA, disability, and 401(k).
- Free primary care at BIM.
- Discounts on labs, supplements, and services.
- Paid time off and a supportive, mission-driven culture.
- And the greatest benefit: joining a team that believes medicine is sacred work—and practicing it with joy, intuition, and heart.
