About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team. The ideal candidate is a clinically strong, detail-oriented provider who thrives in a fast-paced surgical and clinical environment. This role includes a blend of inpatient, outpatient, and OR responsibilities, with opportunities for professional growth and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- First assist in neurosurgical procedures as credentialed
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising neurosurgeon
- Conduct follow-up visits, wound checks, suture removal, and patient education
- Coordinate diagnostic testing, imaging review, and referrals
- Participate in call rotation as needed
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in the EMR
Qualifications
- Valid Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- National certification (AGACNP, FNP with surgical experience, or NCCPA for PA)
- Minimum 1–2 years of neurosurgery, neurology, or surgical specialty experience preferred
- BLS/ACLS required
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
