Full Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have adequate experience in hospital and outpatient clinic settings. The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedural care for vascular patients. Responsibilities include evaluating new and existing patients, interpreting vascular imaging, performing wound care, and coordinating surgical bookings when necessary. This role offers the opportunity to develop a high level of autonomy and clinical decision-making in a supportive environment. Schedule is day shift, M-F.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using aseptic techniques.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data collection, and interpretation of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis coding.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and post-acute care for patients in inpatient
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records within various EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Collaborate with referring providers across multidisciplinary specialties.

Experience

  • Proven experience performing physical examinations in hospital or outpatient settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy knowledge to support complex patient assessments.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • National certification and eligibility for Kentucky state licensure
  • Current CPR and ACLS certification
  • Prior surgical, wound care, or vascular experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
