Over the past 12 years, Dr. Bita Badakhshan, MD, and her staff have treated thousands of patients by applying the principles of functional and integrative medicine. We understand how to treat and heal the whole person. Our approach identifies the root cause of our patient’s health issues, treating the entire person rather than simply their symptoms with a “band-aid” approach.
Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a passion for functional and integrative medicine to join our team on a part-time, in-person basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to practice medicine holistically in a patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical examination, and functional lab interpretation
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing integrative protocols (e.g., nutraceuticals, hormone balancing, dietary therapies)
- Collaborate with the supervising physician to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on lifestyle interventions to improve long-term health outcomes
- Document patient encounters and recommendations in the EMR system
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in integrative and functional medicine
- IV Therapies and blood draws
Qualifications:
- Current PA-C license in the state of California
- 2+ years of clinical experience; integrative or functional medicine experience preferred
- Strong interest in root-cause medicine, nutrition, and holistic health
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be available to work on-site in San Clemente, CA
- Certification or training in functional medicine (e.g., IFM, A4M) is a plus
Schedule:
- 12–20 hours/week
- Flexible weekday scheduling
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
