Job OverviewPremier Medical Group Hawaii is a multi-specialty medical organization providing high-quality, patient-centered care on Oahu. Our urgent care division offers walk-in access, same-day care, and immediate attention for patients experiencing acute illness, minor injuries, or time-sensitive medical needs. PMGH’s mission is to provide accessible, reliable care to our community while maintaining the highest clinical and service standards.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team. The ideal candidate is confident in independently evaluating and treating a wide range of acute and episodic conditions, comfortable with procedural skills, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive medical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with urgent and acute medical needs
  • Manage minor injuries and illnesses, including lacerations, fractures, infections, respiratory conditions, and more
  • Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Perform common urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, I&D, wound care, etc.)
  • Collaborate with onsite medical staff, support staff, and supervising/consulting physicians
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and state/federal regulations

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted Hawaii PA or APRN license
  • Current Board Certification (PA-C, FNP, APRN, etc.)
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and ability to practice autonomously
  • Excellent communication, patient rapport, and teamwork abilities
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient record management
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient record management
  • Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for accurate medical documentation and billing compliance
