Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings. The hired candidate will spend majority of the time in a privately owned OB/Gyn practice alongside two doctors. The candidate may also provide assistance in surgery and hospital based care. This role involves performing physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and patient assessments while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Physician Assistant will utilize advanced clinical skills and EMR systems to deliver high-quality care, including acute pain management, triage, and specialized procedures such as suturing and injections.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history documentation.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory data collection, and interpretation of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis.
- Administer injections and medications following aseptic techniques while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Engage in a broad spectrum of women’s service including but not limited to prenatal care, pelvic pain, menstrual related issues, well woman annual exams, primary women’s healthcare, family planning, contraception, and more.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with current licensure to practice in the state of employment.
- Demonstrated competence in performing physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, medication administration, and basic life support certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to acute care environments; ability to perform aseptic techniques during invasive procedures.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management; experience with telehealth platforms is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments; excellent patient communication skills required. Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
