Job OverviewWe are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. All candidates must have a profile on axamedical.com. New Graduates are welcome!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical exams and obtain patient histories
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as labs and imaging
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Assist in surgical procedures (depending on specialty and setting)
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- Educate patients and families on disease management and prevention
- Work closely with supervising physicians and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage common acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and injuries
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state laws
- Provide patient education, counseling, and preventive care strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- May specialize in areas such as family practice, pediatrics, geriatrics, women’s health, or acute care
Qualifications:
- No prior medical experience is required
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State
- PANCE Certification (for Physician Assistants only)
- Active PA License
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour
