Job SummaryIntegrative Rheumatology of South Texas is seeking a compassionate, motivated PhysicianAssistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient rheumatology practice. The PA/NP will work closely with the Medical Director and clinic team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.

Compensation

● salary: $130,000 – $140,000/per year

● Incentive bonus: double paycheck at the end of the year, plus additional bonuses as

agreed upon by the employer and employee

● Additional incentive: $25 dollars for each patient successfully enrolled in any of our

research studies

Benefits after 90 days

● Health insurance with employer contribution up to 50 percent of the plan chosen by the

employee

● Paid time off

○ 10 vacation days per year, 5 personal days per year, 9 paid holidays per year

● CME support

○ CME stipend of 2,000 dollars per year

○ Paid CME days to attend one or two conferences per year, up to 100 CME

credits annually

● Professional liability insurance with tail coverage

● Employer payment of:

○ Texas Medical Board dues

○ DEA fees

○ National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) fees are

required to maintain active certification

Qualifications

● Current Texas Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start

date

● NCCPA certification

● Successful completion of credentialing and all compliance requirements necessary for

practice

● Prior experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, or a related specialty is preferred

but not required

● Strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and professionalism

Key Responsibilities

● Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations

● Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record

● Develop and implement assessment and treatment plans in collaboration with the

supervising physician

● Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and imaging studies

● Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care

● Participate in clinic research activities, including enrollment of eligible patients in studies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
