Full Job Description

Position: Neurosurgery APP (NP/PA) – Inpatient OnlyStart Date: March 3, 2026Contract Length: 6 months

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider to join a large hospital system for a 6-month locum assignment. This role is inpatient-only with rotating day/night/weekend shifts. Night-only schedules can be considered.

Position Details

• Shift Options: 5:30a–6:00p or 5:30p–6:00a
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (approx. 12 per month)
• Setting: Inpatient Neurosurgery
• Hospital Size: 555 beds
• EMR: EPIC
• Support Staff: Physicians, RNs, CNAs, and full hospital support
• Patient Volume: ~10 adult patients per shift
• No clinic or OR responsibilities

Skills & Procedures

• Must be proficient in EVD (External Ventricular Drain) management
• Strong inpatient neurosurgery experience required

Requirements

• Board Certified NP or PA
• Active state license
• DEA required
• ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of neurosurgery or neurocritical care experience
• Credentialing: Approx. 90 days

Pay: $115.00 per hour
