Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our urgent care team at our McCart & Sycamore School Rd. location in Fort Worth, TX. This position is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients according to urgent care and occupational health best practices

Provide compassionate, respectful care aligned with NextCare’s mission and values

Communicate clear treatment plans and next steps to patients
-
Accurately document encounters in the EHR
-
Appropriately code and bill for services
-
Maintain productivity expectations consistent with industry standards
-
Deliver care in an ethical and legally compliant manner
-
Follow up on patient care when appropriate
Required Qualifications
-
Active and unrestricted Texas PA or NP license
-
Active DEA
-
NCCPA certification (PA) or ANCC/AANP certification (NP)
-
NP candidates must be certified to treat all ages (e.g., FNP)
-
Bachelor’s degree (PA) or Master’s degree (NP)
-
Active BLS certification
-
Comfortable treating patients across all age groups
-
EHR proficiency
-
Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays
-
DOT certification may be required; if not currently certified, we will cover the cost and provide training
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with initial X-ray interpretation
-
Suturing skills
-
Master’s degree for PAs
-
Previous urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience
