Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient, and urgent care environments. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, an avid learner, ethical, detail-oriented, and committed to advancing patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and collaborative care. We require updated certification and 2-3 prior employment references.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including history taking, physical examinations, vital signs, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Assist in minor procedures such as suturing, injections, and basic airway management.
- Manage diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, well child and well adult exams, and attend to urgent care same day appointments
- Perform triage in urgent care settings to prioritize patient care efficiently.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of medical records, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and data collection.
- Administer medications including injections while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with office staff to include prior authorizations, peer to peer calls, referrals, post-acute care coordination, and home care initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare standards including OSHA, HIPAA, infection control practices and medical coding accuracy for billing purposes.
Skills
- Experience with EMR systems eClinicalWorks; proficiency in ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding is essential.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Proven ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments efficiently across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal patients, and those requiring critical or acute care.
- Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, performing female exams and administering vaccines.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving infectious disease care or public health concerns
- Excellent communication skills for patient education on health coaching topics like family planning or addiction counseling; adept at working within multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards; experience managing medical records securely while ensuring accurate documentation of intake forms and vital signs. Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
