Job Overview:
Midway Specialty Care Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant with HIV treatment experience to join our team of providers. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to patients seeking care for HIV, HIV Prevention, STI’s and Hepatitis C. This job is based in South Tampa with minimal potential for floating coverage in Temple Terrace.
Duties:
● Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
● Order and analyze appropriate labs for patients.
● Perform diagnostic evaluations, including physical examinations and medical history
reviews.
● Prescribe and administer medications for treatment and prevention of HIV and STDs.
● Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management
and treatment options.
● Timely documentation in medical records and appropriate systems of all findings of
patient encounters noting pertinent positive and negative findings, ordered diagnostic
tests, therapeutic procedures, patient outcomes, and treatment plans.
● Attend training as needed to remain current on best practices in the field;
● Provides feedback to Office Manager or Physician on an on-going basis about concerns,
improvements, changes, etc.
● Participate in training, orientation, and assessment of new staff as requested;
● Maintain good working relationships with professionals in the community by maintaining
professionalism at all times.
● Maintain excellent professional conduct including but not limited to personal
responsibility, ethical behavior, and treating individuals with dignity and respect.
● Lead by example as a medical professional in the areas of personal responsibility,
treating individuals with dignity and respect.
● Attend annual HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training, will
read and follow the CPT Program Procedures Manual regarding protected health
information, and will adhere to all HIPAA requirements;
● The Physician Assistant practices under a physician and meets routinely with the
Medical Director to discuss patient care, case studies, and quality assurance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
