About the Role
The California Neuropsychiatric Institute, led by board-certified psychiatrist Dr. Sameer Hassamal, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing psychiatric team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, flexible, and interested in providing cutting-edge mental health care both in-person (for Spravato treatments) and via telepsychiatry.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative psychiatric group that offers advanced treatment modalities including Spravato (esketamine), TMS, and evidence-based medication management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management follow-ups under physician supervision
- Administer and monitor Spravato treatments in the Upland office
- Provide telepsychiatry visits for established patients
- Document encounters and coordinate care through the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active California PA license and DEA (or eligible to obtain)
- Prior psychiatric or mental health experience preferred
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule & Compensation
- Flexible schedule: mix of in-person and remote work
- Hourly rate (1099): based on experience
- Malpractice coverage provided
