Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary: The Physician Assistant assists in any function relating to the diagnosis and treatment of patients, under the supervision of an attending physician, within the hospital. The Physician Assistant is concerned with preventing, maintaining, and treating human illness and injury by providing a broad range of health care services that are traditionally performed by a physician. Physician Assistant conducts physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in obstetrics and gynecology and write prescriptions.
Qualifications
Responsibilities: Education Required
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Experience And Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Experience and/or skills in OB/GYN area of practice, previous hospital experience preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
License/Certifications
- Licensure: Current NYS Certification / Registration.
- Continuing Education Units: CMEs as required by NYS to maintain licensure.
- Certifications: Current BCLS/NCCPA.
