At CenTex Injury and Workers comp, we specialize in both Federal and State Workers Compensation claims, as well as personal injury. Our staff serves four locations, each with a physical therapy facility, and two locations with an aquatic therapy pool. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The PA or FNP will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, performing procedures, and assisting in the management of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and take detailed medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Order diagnostic tests such as X-ray, MRI, and laboratory tests.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, wound care, and infection management.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assess patient conditions.
- Proficiency in managing medical records with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with various technology systems within the healthcare environment.
- Experience or training in acute pain management techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
- Understanding of Federal and State Workers Comp preferred.
License/Certification:
- DEA Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Physician Assistant or Family Practitioner License for the state of Texas (Required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
