Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant in Beautiful Orlando, Florida!
Full Continuum of Care Cardiovascular Surgery PA-C or APRN-RNFA will perform cardiovascular surgical preparation procedures, per-operative and post-operative procedures, and assists in performing cardiovascular surgical procedures.
First assisting in cardiovascular surgery, vein and radial artery harvesting, first assisting with CABG, valve, aortic and thoracic surgery.
Provide patient and family with pre-operative education, answer questions regarding surgery, recovery and risk factor modification.
Obtain and perform history and physical examinations. Record and interpret pertinent data (labs, diagnostic studies, discharge summaries, progress notes, etc.) including writing orders and discharges. Ability to perform general peri-surgical procedures in the hospital and clinic.
Admit patients, attend rounds, complete discharge summaries with medication reconciliation and appropriate follow-up. Management of patients both pre- and post-implantation for Ventricular Assist Devices and Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Management of patients undergoing Trans Catheter Valve Procedures.
Salary 140K-250K Plus Generous Call Pay! Top of range is for candidates with 20+ years of CT PA exp…Weeknight Call $500 per night / Weekend On Call $1000 per night up to $1250 per night
Schedule Details:
Monday through Friday
Weeknight on call responsibilities with rotating weekend coverage
Required Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in physician assistant studies or APRN
Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience
Practicing experience as a cardiothoracic/cardiovascular surgery PA or APRN-RNFA
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
Strong communication skills
Strong medical decision-making skills
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
Current, valid Florida PA-C or APRN license or ability to obtain
RNFA required for APRN
Accreditation by NCCPA or other nationally recognized certification organizations
