Position Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient psychiatric team at Westpark Springs Hospital. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about mental health. This position involves daily rounding, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage medication regimens for inpatient patients.
- Round on assigned patients and document progress notes in accordance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with attending psychiatrists, nursing, and social work teams to coordinate treatment plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding medications, side effects, and care plans.
Qualifications
- Active Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in the State of Texas (required).
- Psychiatric or behavioral health experience preferred (inpatient or outpatient).
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-Time: 2–3 days per week (flexible scheduling options).
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.
