Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team on a part time or full time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and/or Pulmonology and be committed to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with a variety of medical conditions, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Pulmonology experience is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, including pain management and behavioral health concerns.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in internal medicine practices and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Current PA licensure in New York
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
- Experience in Pulmonology is a huge plus.
