OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, and outpatient care. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough assessments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients across various settings, including acute care and outpatient clinics.
  • Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions while adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain and provide emergency care in urgent situations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers in triage and discharge planning.
  • Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient records.
  • Participate in clinical research and trials to enhance patient care practices.
  • Provide education on health coaching, nutrition, and preventive care measures to patients.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards in all patient interactions.
  • Engage in continuous learning opportunities to stay updated on medical advancements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent program.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant with certification from the NCCPA.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the ability to perform procedures such as suturing and airway management.
  • Experience with ventilators (including neonatal ventilators), cardiac catheterization, phlebotomy, and tube feeding is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and outpatient management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration within a healthcare team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95.00 – $105.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
