Full Job Description

The Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) Family Birthing Center at Manchester Memorial Hospital features a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are seeking Neonatology Nurse Practitioners for full-time (40 hours per week), part-time (24 hours per week), and per diem positions that promote a flexible work-life balance. Our services include lactation consultations, midwife and doula support, education on neonatal abstinence syndrome, nitrous oxide therapy, vaginal birth after cesarean, and hydrotherapy and water births.

Joining our multidisciplinary team means collaborating with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, known for its excellence in pediatric and neonatal care. Our team includes Neonatology APRN/PA-C providers, nurses, lactation consultants, pediatricians, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and social workers.

Position Highlights:

  • Level 3 Neonatology Intensive Care Unit with infant nursery
  • Provide high-risk care, deliveries, and C-sections with resuscitation
  • Daily clinical management, rounding, surgical procedures experience, admissions, and documentation
  • 24-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts support work-life balance

Both hospitals are recognized as Primary Stroke Centers, having earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The network offers robotic surgery, including the MAKO robotic-assisted knee-hip replacement system, and the Xi da Vinci Robot. ECHN’s has expanded its partnership with Jefferson Radiology, which has enhanced its diagnostic radiology services in collaboration with other esteemed programs.

Requirements:

  • Graduate advanced degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA-C) Program must have 2 or more years of experience as a NICU Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Connecticut license, Federal DEA, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
