Medlife Urgent Care is a highly-rated, independent clinic committed to providing compassionate, efficient, and high-quality episodic care to the diverse community of Norwalk, California. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our close-knit, collaborative team.

The Opportunity: Clinical Excellence & Autonomy

We are looking for a full-time or part-time PA who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable treating a wide scope of acute illnesses and injuries. This role offers high autonomy and the ability to work to the full scope of your practice, focusing entirely on providing outstanding patient care in the vibrant Los Angeles County region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations on patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses and injuries commonly seen in an urgent care setting (e.g., respiratory infections, lacerations, sprains, fractures, GI upset).
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., X-rays, ECGs, point-of-care lab tests).
  • Perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, I&D, foreign body removal, splinting, and simple fracture care.
  • Prescribe necessary medications and therapeutic treatments.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate effectively with the supervising physician, medical assistants, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a PA in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in an Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine setting.
  • Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse patient load efficiently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Work Location: In person
