Empower Mind is a highly rated outpatient psychiatry and behavioral health practice located in Frisco, TX, providing compassionate and evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults.We are expanding our team and seeking a Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a passion for psychiatry and mental health care.

Position Summary
As a Psychiatry Physician Assistant, you will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for patients with mental health conditions.You may work on-site at our Frisco office, remotely via telehealth, or in a hybrid setup.Empower Mind provides full administrative support, including billing, scheduling, insurance verification, and EHR management, so you can focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications under psychiatrist collaboration
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication options, and coping strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
- Provide services either in-person in Frisco, TX, or via secure telehealth platforms
Qualifications
Licensure:
- Active Texas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license required
- DEA license (or eligibility) required
- Experience or strong interest in psychiatry and behavioral health
- Multi-state licensure is a plus for telehealth expansion
Education:
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
- Psychiatry/mental health rotation or relevant experience preferred
Experience:
- All experience levels welcome — New graduates encouraged to apply
- Outpatient psychiatry or telehealth experience preferred
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Compassion, empathy, and professionalism in patient interactions
- Ability to work independently within a productivity-based model
- Comfort using EMR and telehealth technologies
