The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assesses, promotes and contributes to the quality care provided to patients and their families/support systems throughout the hospital continuum. The APP provides clinical leadership through advanced practice role-modeling and professional communication. Specialization includes in-depth graduate study of relevant theories and scientific knowledge related to a select patient population which promotes the ability to analyze and refine practice. In collaboration with the health care team, the APP monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical expertise to improve patient care and patient outcomes. Provides direct patient care and timely documentation of care to a complex neurosurgical patient population within Inpatient, Ambulatory Surgery, Observation, and Emergency Department care settings. Identifies, analyzes and resolves patient care issues in an effort to meet the care needs of the patient in an ethical and culturally sensitive way. Salary Range: $98,000.00 – $130,083.20 annually The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
- Education – Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed NP or PA in New York State.
- Experience – Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience. Strongly prefer previous clinical specialization in an inpatient Neurosurgery clinical work environment.
- License/Certification Required – Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
- Skills – Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Effective teaching skills. Proficient, efficient and safe independent clinical practice capability. Competent computer skills (MS Office software, keyboarding). Excellent collaborative teamwork skills required.
