Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Part Time
Location: Corcoran ,CA
We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to provide temporary/relief coverage at correctional facilities. This role involves delivering high-quality medical care in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with scope of practice and facility policies
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Monitor and record patient progress in medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care
- Support emergency, primary, and specialty care as needed
- Follow infection control protocols and correctional healthcare guidelines
- Participate in clinical reviews and quality improvement activities
Requirements:
- Current and valid California license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Family Medicine/Primary Care (adult) within the last 3 years
- Specialty areas (Emergency, Surgery, OB/GYN, etc.): At least 2 years of recent experience in that field
- OB/GYN assignments: Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN experience within the last 5 years
- Completion of 50 hours of medical education every two years OR NCCPA certification (for PAs)
- Strong communication skills; must be proficient in English (oral & written)
- Ability to work effectively in a correctional healthcare environment.
