Job Title: Dermatology Physician Assistant
Job Summary:
Florida Dermatology Specialists is seeking a qualified Dermatology Physician Assistant to work in their new Port St Lucie, Florida office. We seek a caring and experienced Dermatology Physician Assistant to join our strong 5 star team. The Dermatology Physician Assistant will work alongside our team of dermatologists to provide comprehensive care for patients with skin conditions. The Dermatology Physician Assistant is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as educating them on proper skin care and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as biopsies and blood work.
– Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with skin conditions, including prescribing medications and performing procedures such as biopsies and excisions.
– Educate patients on proper skin care, sun protection, and disease prevention.
– Collaborate with dermatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
– Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain quality control standards.
– Attend conferences and continuing education courses to stay current on developments in dermatology.
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in physician assistant studies
– Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
– Current state license as a Physician Assistant.
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in dermatology
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
– Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
– Knowledge of medical terminology and dermatology procedures.
– Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

The physician assistant may be exposed to infectious diseases and hazardous materials, and must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required.
