Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated healthcare team in Stafford, VA. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to service members, veterans, and other examinees through general, occupational, and disability-focused medical evaluations. The position offers a dynamic work environment, including clinic, telehealth, and mobile settings, while supporting continuous improvement of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical, occupational, and disability-focused medical examinations, including pre- and post-employment assessments and annual health evaluations.
  • Review medical histories, interpret clinical data, and provide comprehensive written reports with independent medical opinions.
  • Perform telephonic and virtual examinations, as well as exams in unique settings such as home visits or large-scale events.
  • Complete Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) and other required documentation.
  • Provide primary medical evaluations, including review of systems, range of motion assessments, and interpretation of diagnostic tests (labs, ECGs, pulmonary function tests).
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure effective, evidence-based care.
  • Travel nationally (up to 30%) for in-person examinations; travel expenses and per diem provided.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care or internal medicine experience.
  • Unrestricted state medical license allowing full scope of practice.
  • Valid BLS or ACLS certification; ability to obtain DEA license.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain necessary government clearances.
  • Ability to meet medical clearance requirements, including respiratory protection fit testing, TB testing, and Hepatitis A/B vaccination or titer confirmation.
  • Strong analytical skills, clinical judgment, and proficiency with electronic medical records and standard office software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting occupational and disability medical examinations.
