OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in critical care settings, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. This role requires proficiency in advanced nursing practices and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
DutiesAs a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and acute pain management.
- Utilizing EMR systems for accurate medical documentation and patient records management.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Performing advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and airway management as needed.
- Monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to changes in patient conditions.
- Educating patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
RequirementsCandidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with critical care experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth.
- Experience in various medical specialties including but not limited to ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and internal medicine.
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and workers’ compensation law is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Ability to perform clinical skills such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Schedule: 7p-7a
Patient Census: 10-15 per shift
Required Procedures: Intubations, central lines, and arterial lines
Support Staff: In-house intensivist, hospitalists, surgeons, ER physicians, and pulmonologists
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
Pay: $90.00 – $100.00 per hour
