Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Rheumatology practice. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with physician to provide comprehensive patient care to patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting physical examinations, and minor procedures such as joint and bursa injections. The ideal candidate will have a strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively. Prior experience in rheumatology, ortho, bone health or related field is preferred.
Competitive base salary based on experience plus productivity/quality incentive model with a potential to earn >150k/year.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations, expected to see 16-18 patients/day- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic rheumatic diseases- Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary- Provide patient education on disease and treatment options- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients- Adhere to medical standards, and evidence based guidelines in all aspects of patient care
Skills and Experience:
– Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in Rheumatology- Strong clinical skills and background, medical knowledge and strive for constant reading, learning and positive attitude- Familiarity with documentation standards- Excellent communication, health coaching skills to promote patient wellness

Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
