Full Job Description

Full-Time Experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner needed for busy workers’ compensation, occupational health, and urgent care office. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PA or NP to join our medical team. Your role will involve conducting patient assessments (e.g. taking medical histories and performing physical examinations), developing treatment plans and prescribing medications, performing medical procedures and clinical tasks, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g. X-Rays, EKGs, urinalysis, blood work), and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care (e.g. specialists, insurance adjusters, employer representatives, etc.). You will also be responsible for documenting patient encounters, maintaining accurate medical records, and staying updated on the latest medical research and advancements in healthcare.

Requirements:

  • Valid and Current California PA or NP license
  • Valid and Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Must be completed before the start date.)
  • National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) Certification (May be completed within 90 days of the start date. Please note that a lower starting rate will apply if not certified at time of employment but will be adjusted for certification is received.)
  • Proficiency in reading/interpreting X-Ray images
  • Proficiency in reading/interpreting EKGs
  • Proficiency in reading/interpreting lab work results
  • Proficiency in procedures such as suturing, I&D, joint injections, and splinting
  • Previous experience in workers’ compensation, occupational health, and/or urgent care or similar settings
  • Open Availability for Rotating Weekend (Initial training will be done on weekdays only and then the schedule will change to rotating weekends.)

The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90.00 – $95.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
