Description:

Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our practice. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level provider with a passion for helping build families and shaping lives by providing comprehensive infertility care. The ideal candidate will have experience in women’s health, specifically infertility and reproductive medicine, or be a recent graduate from a highly reputable MSN-NP/Physician Assistant program.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care at a leading fertility center. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; and providing education and comprehensive management for individuals seeking reproductive health services. The APP works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a team-based model to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Obtains detailed medical histories, reviews medical records, and performs appropriate physical exams.
  • Performs detailed gynecologic evaluations, including but not limited to: transvaginal ultrasounds, gynecologic exams, Hysterosalpingograms, Hysterosonograms, trial transfers, endometrial biopsies, IUD removal, early OB ultrasounds, and platelet rich plasma infusions. APP will order appropriate tests and interpret laboratory values.
  • Participates in ‘morning monitoring’ which includes performing ultrasounds for patients undergoing stimulation cycles.
  • Collaborates with physicians in development and implementation of treatment plans appropriate to individual patients.
  • Prescribes appropriate medications and provides appropriate referrals.
  • Provides detailed and comprehensive patient counseling and education.
  • Acts as liaison between collaborating physician and clinical staff to ensure high-level medical care and addresses issues for improvement.

Requirements:

Position Requirements/Experience:

  • Previous experience in women’s health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility– preferred
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • May require unanticipated need to work beyond scheduled shift due to patient care needs
  • Participate in after hour triage call rotation – no hospital call.
  • Maintain license and CMC’s

Infertility Experienced APP- Onsite Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both monitoring and non-monitoring ultrasounds for ovulation induction, IVF stimulation cycle, frozen embryo transfers, and embryo transfer evaluations. OI and Diagnostic cycles/

IVF Cycle Management:

  • Provide detailed medication instructions for IVF cycles, including schedules, dosages, and administration.
  • Assist in coordination and support of IVF cycle programs.

Patient Management:

  • Implement individualized care plans for fertility patients.
  • Provide ongoing care, including follow-up on ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.

Women’s Health Education:

  • Offer general education and counseling to patients regarding women’s health, fertility treatments, and overall wellness.

Physical Examinations:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams, including history-taking, general and pelvic exams, cultures, Trial transfer, uterine sounding, and endometrial biopsies.

Donor Patient Care:

  • Complete medical history, ultrasounds, physical exams, and lab work for donor patients.

Procedures and Treatments:

  • Perform procedures such as: Sono-hysterograms, Sono-hysterosalpingograms, and first-trimester OB ultrasounds.
  • Assist with phlebotomy and medication administration when needed.

Patient Communication:

  • Manage phone and email triage, addressing patient questions and concerns.
  • No hospital call but phone triage call weeknights and weekends.
  • Provide referrals to MDs when necessary, based on findings.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, embryologists, counselors, and administrative staff, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for support staff and trainees.

Clinical Documentation:

  • Document patient care services accurately using clinical software and record-keeping systems.
  • Complete required paperwork for patient billing and other administrative tasks.

Position Requirements:

  • Current state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant without limitations.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioner candidates).

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in women’s health is preferred. Experience in fertility or reproductive medicine is highly valued.
  • Previous ultrasound experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using office equipment (computer, fax, copier) and clinical software.
  • Ability to input, retrieve, and manage patient information efficiently.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Team-Oriented:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting.
  • Willingness to serve as a preceptor and resource for less experienced clinical staff.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and train in new areas, particularly ultrasound and IVF-related procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring patient care and documentation is thorough and accurate.
