Position SummaryAn established orthopedic spine team in Sun City, AZ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their dynamic, high-acuity practice. This full-time role combines clinic-based care with opportunities for intraoperative participation and procedural support. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary group focused on delivering comprehensive spine care with a strong emphasis on teamwork, clinical excellence, and long-term patient outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 annually (depending on experience)
- Incentive Structure: Productivity-based bonus with potential earnings up to $225,000 per year

About the PracticeThis is a high-performing orthopedic spine program delivering care across clinic and surgical settings. The team specializes in complex spine cases and works collaboratively to ensure continuity through evaluation, surgical intervention, and recovery planning. The environment is fast-paced yet supportive, offering strong mentorship and clinical autonomy.
Ideal Candidate ProfileYou are a motivated and detail-oriented NP or PA with a strong interest in spine care and procedural medicine. You thrive in both clinic and surgical settings and value close collaboration with physicians, surgical staff, and fellow APPs. Prior orthopedic or spine experience is preferred, though highly capable new graduates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with acute and chronic spine disorders
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in alignment with surgical protocols
- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up visits
- Support wound care, minor procedures, and spinal injections
- Provide intraoperative assistance when applicable
- Respond to patient concerns and triage emergent issues
- Participate in rounding, team-based care planning, and limited on-call rotation
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and recovery expectations
- Document clinical encounters thoroughly and maintain regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based NP or PA program
(Note: Puerto Rico-based programs are not eligible)
- Active and unrestricted Arizona license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- DEA certification in good standing
- NP First Assist training (if applicable), aligned with AORN guidelines
- Preferred: Prior experience in orthopedic or spine surgery
