Physician Assistant – Surgery (Permanent Role)

Location: Dallas, TX, 75246 Shift: Full Time Days | 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work Monday through Friday daytime hours; includes one weekend call per month
• Assist in surgeries and manage pre- and post-operative care
• Conduct inpatient rounding and manage patient care in the clinic
• Perform physical exams and obtain detailed medical histories
• Order, interpret, and evaluate lab results and diagnostic tests
• Prescribe appropriate medications or therapies in accordance with guidelines
• Develop and implement patient care and treatment plans
• Provide counseling to patients and families on health management, nutrition, medications, and preventive care
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Perform indicated procedures under supervision per scope of practice
• Provide follow-up care and emergency department assessments when needed

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Experience: Preferred minimum of 2 years in surgical or inpatient settings
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Texas
  • NCCPA certification (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
