Location: Pennsylvania Hospital Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Position Summary

This position requires a high level of independence but is well supported with a collaborative and multi-disciplinary practice model. The high acuity clinical practice setting is dynamic, fast-paced, and high pressure. Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills, as well as strong medical/pharmacology/nursing knowledge are essential. In this role, there will also be tremendous professional growth potential and the opportunity to participate in Penn Medicine’s tripartite mission of clinical care, research, and education. Members of the team participate in a full range of quality initiatives, are encouraged to become active members of professional societies like the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA).

This role includes direct clinical care, device interpretation, inbox management, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and coordination of care for patients with cardiac conditions.
Clinical Care

Conduct direct patient office visits for both new and follow-up appointments.

Maintain a schedule of clinical sessions with a primary focus of EP patients and at times general cardiology patients
Inbox and Patient Management

Triage incoming patient calls and electronic messages.

Review and respond to clinical results, ensuring appropriate follow-up and interventions.

Manage a defined patient panel in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Device Monitoring

Interpret and respond to alerts from cardiac devices including PPMs, ICDs, and LINQ monitors.

Provide timely clinical interventions based on device data.

Support the RN-led device interrogation clinic by being on-site when physicians are off-site.
Administrative Responsibilities

One administrative day per week may be completed remotely, subject to on-site requirements.

Participate in care coordination and documentation as needed.

Review registry metrics during office visits; not responsible for data input or registry maintenance.
Education:
-
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (required)
-
Masters of Science in Nursing or Health Sciences (required)
-
BLS/CPR as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (Required)
Qualifications
-
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Pennsylvania.

Certification- Acute care ACNP preferred but not required

Minimum 1–2 years of cardiology or device management experience preferred.

Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and remote patient monitoring tools.

Familiarity with cardiac device technologies (PPM, ICD, LINQ).

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
