Position Overview:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in wound care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident in assessing, treating, and managing both acute and chronic wounds, with a patient-centered approach and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with complex wounds
- Develop and implement wound care plans, including debridement and dressing selection
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure continuity of care
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management and prevention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in [Your State]
- Minimum of 1–2 years of wound care experience (required)
- Certification in wound care (WCC, CWCN, or similar) strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
Schedule:
- Part time eventually shifting to full time.
