Nurse Practitioner Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including emergency medicine and geriatrics, and will be proficient in performing procedures such as IV infusion and medication administration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, history taking, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and EKGs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments according to licensure and scope of practice.
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality assurance, improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
  • Follow clinical guidelines, organizational protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide referrals to specialists or community resources as needed.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of triage protocols and emergency medicine practices.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
  • Ability to perform medical imaging procedures effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
