Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced PA or NP to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality primary care to adult patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab work
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
- Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in managing complex cases
- Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Duties and responsibilities:
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to healthcare laws, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
- Implement infection control protocols.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to meet accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
- Board certification as NP or PA
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in adult medicine or primary care
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic medical records systems
- Current BLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, and abilities:
- EMR use
- Medical coding
- Excellent etiquette and bedside manners
- Primary care practice experience – 2 years preferred
- Effective organizational skills and ability to maintain systems for a good workflow
- Self-motivated with initiative
- Dependable
- Charts to be closed and billed in 24-48 hours
