Full Job Description

Location: Indiana & Kentucky (Multi-site coverage) Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Medical Director / Physician Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dual-licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary pain management practice. This role is ideal for a provider with strong clinical acumen, a compassionate approach, and the ability to practice independently under collaborative agreement. You will work across locations in Indiana and Kentucky, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and formulate individualized pain management plans
  • Diagnose and treat various pain conditions using pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with state and federal laws
  • Conduct interventional pain procedures as appropriate (dependent on experience and scope)
  • Collaborate with supervising physician(s), physical therapists, and behavioral health specialists
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on condition management, medication safety, and treatment options
  • Ensure accurate documentation in EMR systems (e.g., SOAP notes, treatment plans, refill requests)
  • Maintain current licensure in both Indiana and Kentucky
  • Comply with clinic protocols, DEA regulations, and continuing education requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in both Indiana and Kentucky
  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) required
  • DEA license with ability to prescribe controlled substances in both states
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, or primary care preferred
  • Strong understanding of chronic pain treatment modalities and opioid risk mitigation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • EMR proficiency (eClinicalWorks, AthenaHealth, or similar preferred)
  • Willingness to travel between practice sites within both states
