Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring the efficient operation of our medical facility. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Training in diabetes and diabetes education is a plus.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Provide addiction counseling to patients when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize electronic health record systems.
- Monitor vital signs and other health indicators to assess patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Proficiency in medical office procedures and practices.
- Strong knowledge of clinical research methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
