OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring that patients receive comprehensive treatment. This position requires a strong foundation in medical knowledge, excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate health status and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide and manage direct patient care in the outpatient settings.
- Treat a variety of disease processes and injuries; acute and chronic.
- Perform histories and physicals, including psycho-social issues.
- modalities as appropriate to the patient’s assessed medical condition.
- Perform minor procedures, such as cryotherapy, I & D, etc.
- Will be supervised by a physician pursuant to CA Law, licensure category.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding preventive health care, disease processes, potential medication side effects, nutrition, etc.
- Consult and refer patients to other healthcare professionals, facilities as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to patient needs.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required.
- Valid certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of California
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration Registration
- Current BLS certifications
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with electronic medical records
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with outpatient care protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 – $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
