currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our
dynamic team.
Job Summary:
As an NP or PA at Thrive Reconstructive Surgery, you will play a crucial role in the care continuum for
our patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting new consultations, completing health
maintenance plans (HMPs), preparing patients for surgery, post-operative rounding, and providing
wound care. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure optimal patient
outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct thorough new patient consultations and health maintenance plans (HMPs).
– Prepare patients for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary pre-surgical consents are obtained.
– Engage in post-operative rounding.
– Assist in the clinical offices on an as needed basis.
– Provide comprehensive wound care management and patient education during rounds.
– Collaborate with nursing staff and case managers to coordinate patient care and home health
arrangements.
– Manage scheduling, patient discharge processes, and maintain effective communication with office
staff.
– Review and organize inpatient lists to ensure smooth operations for upcoming surgeries.
Desired Candidate Qualifications:
Experience:
– Expertise in wound care is strongly preferred.
– A background in internal medicine for effective medication management and patient care is helpful.
– Exposure to surgical services is a plus.
Skills:
– Strong adaptability and multitasking capabilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent organizational skills for managing scheduling and coordinating patient discharge.
– Effective communication skills for interacting with surgeons, patients and office staff.

– Resilience in managing multiple tasks and responsibilities without becoming overwhelmed.
Typical Workweek Overview:
– Review and prepare for upcoming surgeries.
– Manage inpatient lists and order necessary pre-surgical consents.
– Conduct pre-operative patient assessments alongside physicians.
– Oversee surgical procedures and initiate post-operative rounding.
– Coordinate patient care with nurses and case managers.
– Ongoing Duties:
– Daily coordination for next-day surgeries.
– Address office communications regarding patient inquiries and wound care.
– Provide patient teaching and wound management during rounds.
Requirements:
Licensure & Certification
PA-C (NCCPA certified) or board-certified NP (AGACNP, FNP, or equivalent)
DEA license (or ability to obtain)
Texas licensure (or eligibility)
Hospital surgical privileges credentialing eligibility
Current BLS and ACLS

Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
