Job Title:Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Location:Fontana, CA – Kaiser Permanente Outpatient Clinic

Compensation & Contract Details:

• All-Inclusive Hourly Rate: $135/hour
• Overtime Rate: $202.50/hour (after 40 hours/week; pre-approval required)
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Start Date: ASAP
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approx. 12 weeks from application submission
• EMR: EPIC (Health Connect – Kaiser’s customized system)

Vaccination Requirement:

• COVID-19 vaccination preferred, but waivers will be considered

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call required
• Built-in documentation/catch-up time every 4-hour block

Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at a high-volume medical dermatology clinic in Fontana, CA. This is a clinical, non-cosmetic role, treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions with a focus on medical skin care and procedures.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in medical dermatology, including managing acne (Accutane), rashes, biopsies, and Botox for hyperhidrosis (preferred but not required). You’ll work independently within a collaborative clinical setting and document care using EPIC (Health Connect).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive skin screenings and dermatologic assessments
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and rashes
• Perform skin biopsies and minor dermatologic procedures
• Manage patients on Accutane (Isotretinoin) therapy, including lab review and follow-up
• Administer Botox for hyperhidrosis (preferred)
• Utilize EPIC (Health Connect) for thorough and timely documentation
• Work collaboratively with supervising physicians and clinical support staff
• Ensure quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care

Patient Volume:

• Estimated 24–26 patients per day
• 15-minute appointments
• Built-in documentation time every 4-hour block

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active California license – required (No licensing candidates will be considered)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Medical dermatology experience – required
• Familiarity with EPIC/Health Connect – preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management skills
