Job Summary:
The Integrative Psychiatry Physician Assistant functions as a highly valued member of the Colorado Psychiatry Solutions team. Scope of Duties: Essential Functions
Patient Care
- Provide patient care in an outpatient setting or via telehealth as needed.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments using various methods, such as interviewing the patient, their family, or others.
- Diagnose mental health conditions.
- Develop tailored treatment plans according to the patient’s needs and the extent of the emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disorder.
- Treat patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medication, monitoring the effects of any medication and adjusting treatment where necessary.
- Prescribe and monitor ketamine infusions and TMS.
- Administer psychiatric rating scales and conduct pre-treatment assessments.
- Provide medication management, adhering to harm reduction principles and minimizing controlled substance prescriptions.
- Order, obtain, and assess appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostics, making clinical decisions based on results.
- Identify and address past, current, and potential health problems.
Collaboration & Supervision
- Consult with CPS collaborating physicians frequently.
- Communicate with a team of medical providers across multiple locations.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals, including Primary Care Physicians.
- Provide supervision and consultation to nurses, medical assistants, and technicians.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records, completed and signed within 48 business hours after clinical encounters.
- Document treatment details, lifestyle changes, and medication or supplements prescribed.
- Follow ethical and legal standards in all practices.
- Ensure licensure as a Physician Associate or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Colorado, in good standing.
Holistic Approach
- Employ a holistic treatment approach that considers medical comorbidities, lifestyle, nutrition, and family systems.
- Minimize controlled substance prescriptions.
Professional Development
- Stay updated on psychiatry advancements through continuous education and networking.

- Deliver medical and behavioral health services in collaboration with the CPS medical team.

Qualifications :
Required
- Completion of a physician assistant, PA-C program
- Current CPR certification
- Active PA-C license in the State of Colorado or compact licensure – without restrictions
Preferred
- At least 1 year of licensed medical practice
- At least 1 year of practice in a mental health setting
- Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry (CAQ-Psy)
- Military Veteran status, military spouse, or previous work in military/government helping agencies or underserved populations
- Additional training or certification in Integrative Psychiatry, Addiction, and/or Psychedelic Medicine.
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of body motions, including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Some sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching
- Standing and walking
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Must have adequate hearing and speaking ability to communicate with co-workers and others in person, by phone, and via online correspondence.

Salary
$52.88 – $55.28 per hour
