Position Available: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Orthopedic SpineLocation: Sun City, ArizonaSchedule: Full-Time | Monday through FridayWork Setting: Split between clinic and ambulatory surgery center (ASC)Travel Requirements: NoneOn-Call Requirements: Minimal, shared among orthopedic advanced practice providers

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 (dependent on experience)
  • Bonus Structure: Productivity-based incentives with expected total earnings up to $225,000/year

Ideal Candidate Profile

You’re a clinically confident, adaptable, and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is energized by a dynamic orthopedic setting. You’re comfortable balancing both clinic duties and surgical support and enjoy contributing meaningfully to coordinated, patient-focused care. While prior orthopedic spine experience is preferred, we are open to training highly motivated new graduates with the right foundational skills and mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans
  • Manage both acute and chronic spine-related conditions in the clinic
  • Conduct pre- and post-operative evaluations and assist with treatment planning
  • Perform minor procedures, administer injections, and support wound care
  • Triage patient concerns and respond appropriately to urgent or emergent needs
  • Assist in surgical cases and provide intraoperative support as required
  • Participate in rounding and on-call coverage as part of the APP team
  • Deliver patient education related to diagnosis, procedures, recovery, and wellness
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, surgical staff, and the care coordination team

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited U.S.-based NP or PA program (Puerto Rico programs not accepted)
  • Active and unrestricted Arizona license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • DEA certification in good standing
  • NP First Assist training (if applicable), in accordance with AORN standards
  • Prior orthopedic spine experience preferred but not required
